I have been restoring/rebuilding my 69 corvette convertible on and off for a couple years, I had built a 355 with Dart heads for it before comin across a LS1 from a C5 so I started over haha. The car has all new interior, brakes, shocks, fuel tank, slotted rotors, AR torque thrust m wheels, VFN fiberglass 4 inch cowl, Turbonetics TC78 turbo, MS3X full sequential fuel injection, smartfire 80lb injectors, 85mm throttlebody, Aeromotive fuel system among a ton of of other parts. My plan is to have a 600 rwh pump gas car to cruise in that is more streetable then the day it came off the assembly line... here are some of the pics of it to date, planning on being finished for May.
The start, had to hand strip the car with razors and some fiberglass stripper....2 layers of single stage is not fun!
The interior to start with, all ripped out after sitting for 20+ years
Original 76,000 mile numbers original 350
The new 355, never started just installed and removed to make room for the LS engine
In primer, block sanded, lowered 2.5 inches with wheels on....when it warms up the Orange pearl will be added...
Got some work done his week on the vette, welded the fittings into the gas tank, ran fuel lines, made an alternator bracket and radiator/fan support, finished the turbo merge, intake tube and blow off valve.....the ecu is built and wiring almost done hoping to calibrate the sensors Sunday and try to fire it up....then paint next week
