Don't know if one or two turbos ,I'm an NA type and juice . A ll that turbo lingo is confusing. I guess I should talk to turbo company . 700-800 hp would be enough don't know if short block would hold it? Just got done porting heads. A cam in the 550-600 range should suffice.probably go with bullet for that. Would a single 76mm be enough.

Remember boost is sort of irrelevant so an engine is not really built to handle XX amount of boost, the amount of boost is going to be based on the turbo and engine combo. A T6 76mm turbo could get you to 700-800 horsepower using 15psi but using an 88 or twin 60's will get you there with less effort. Now a blow through set up can handle a little more compression because of the natural effect of cooling with fuel mixing on the carb but 10:1 you need to be spot on with a tune and monitoring IAT's, Meth injection or an intercooler is going to be needed probably above 6-8 psi. A turbo specific cam will be needed to get to your goal using a GEN 1 chevy where the GEN 3 stuff is more forgiving with making power with a turbo. If you need parts let me know I have brand new blowthrough stuff Aeromotive regulator, Spectre carb hat, a BG silverclaw that I started to work on but was going to send out to C&S before I went fuel injected....

Sbc with world 200s,11:1,scat crank and I beam rods .650 lunati sr. For 2000, has about 100 street miles on it. He pulled because it didn't run good 93 octane.
